2017 Kia Cadenza Limited Review & Redesign – Kia appears to be aiming right at the heart of the full-size Buick market (or what’s left of it) with the Cadenza — individuals customers who value trip quality and tranquil, capable “large car” feel above wearing pretensions — and Kia has completely nailed it here. This limited Cadenza is incredibly comfortable and peaceful, with each available ease item most purchasers could want. Critical for the more mature market to that this car will improve attractiveness, Kia uses a lot of buttons and switches on the dash and console to match the high performance of its UVO infotainment system; it’s an easy car to access know and use.
I invested time in a new Buick LaCrosse a couple of weeks ago, and it’s interesting to find out the overlap between these vehicles on price, features, layout — even appearance, to some extent. With the possible exception of exterior styling, the Kia wins on each front. Commitment is the only possible issue here — traditional big Buick purchasers might be tough to get into a Kia car dealership — alongside with the continuing erosion of that big-car market. Still, the truth Kia sold just 10 % as many Cadenzas as Buick sold LaCrosses recently shows me Kia has to set some advertising coin right behind their engineers’ efforts: This car need to be performing better.
I discover the Cadenza fascinating, sandwiched as it is among the large(ish) K900 and the middle of the sized Optima; it is a type of a tweener. Kia does not sell many (just 4000 so far this year) but nevertheless did a second generation of the car, tapping the outstanding Peter Schreyer (of course, I am a lover) to attract what I take into account a clean, attractive car. Give them credit history for attaching with it. Concur this is aimed straight at Buick’s heart and pushes it, easily. It is clean, peaceful, cushy…not sporty, but that’s okay, mainly as observed over for the – ahem — more mature demographic…
I as well identified the dash/console changes on the dash and console accentuate one another — it’s a relatively easy car to reach know, and rapidly. Create quality/fit and complete appear and feel very nice. I was particularly pleased with the V6 and eight-speed trans’ level of smoothness as nicely as the on-highway quietness.
